NEA magazine and contents page rough cut compared with final cut

Image
For my rough cut magazines I focused on a streetwear fashion brand aesthetic with only one model for each issue. The images on these rough cuts were also not the highest quality as well as not matching the mise en scene of the reference magazines that i'm basing my final cut off of. When doing the final cut I re took all my photos swapping out the streetwear aesthetic for a more professional  outfits for my models and also adding more of a variety in models as well as adding pictures of high end items, places and art. I also changed the font to CINZEL to give a more expensive look. I added more stories to the front covers and a link to the website for my brand. I added more stories that fit the brief more effectively on the contents pages of my product and restructured the layout to match the layout of my style model GQ.

NEA magazine and website logo and website info

Image
For the website I created a Home page with a main section for top stories then 5 segments for fashion, features, shopping, lifestyle, trending. For each of these sections I got 3 images with stories to pair with them. I also have a segment for advertisements with an ad for my magazine issues as well as 2 ads one for Rolex and another for the new Samsung phone. I also added a second page called ICONS for membership buyers this includes my AV and info about my model in the AV as they are meant to be a famous actor who would be featuring on the next issue of my magazine and is meant to be a secret that he will be featuring and only the members get to know that they will be in the next issue. When gathering images for the magazine i also got images of 3 ethnicities to meet the brief of having 2 or more social groups.

NEA mood board

Image
I picked this imagery as a mood board as it is imagery from my style models that I am going to use to form the basis of how i wanted to take photos for the magazines i was producing. Basing my photos of the two main product in Conde Nast's product line was important as it made sure i was hitting the brief and hitting the market of high end luxury that I had to focus in on after my first draft was more street wear focused so that had to be changed in the final cut. For my magazine i focused on photoing two different social groups by diversifying the race of models in my magazines.

NEA textual analysis

Full textual analysis- Vogue What vogue aims to do Vogue aims to sell luxury and taste whilst positioning itself as the definitive voice on fashion, beauty, culture. Statement of intent changes

Originally I wrote in Statement of Intent that my magazine would be a streetwear magazine with the name EDGE. Since then I have realised it does not correctly fit the brief given so have changed the theme to fit a high end fashion brand called ICONIQUE that is similar to other Conde Nast brands such as VOGUE showing the styles reflecting a more well off and high class audience.
